Outside of umpiring, what do you do for a living?
"I work for Tessco Technologies, a wireless telecommunications company as an inside sales representative."
In what year did you join Harford County Umpires Association?
"I joined HCUA in 2014."
Where else have you umpired?
"I have only been a member of HCUA and do not have much desire to work for any other organization."
What's been your proudest achievement in umpiring?
"I would say that my proudest achievement in umpiring came in my first season. I was nervous when I first started to get on the field but to have other members tell you that you are doing a good job gave me the confidence that I needed to be more confident on the field making calls as well as dealing with any challenging rules situations that may occur."
Funniest Heckle you've ever heard while umpiring?
"I’ve been called cheap because a game was over after a slaughter rule, but the coaches wanted to keep playing, so I left the field and a parent came over to me telling me how cheap I was ”
Do you have a goal that you are hoping to achieve this year?
"My biggest goal to achieve this year is to just improve every time I step on the field."
What's the best advice you would give to a new umpire?
"Just be confident in your calls. The more confident you are, the less talk you will hear from parents and coaches."
